Inspirado en el European Sound Diary realizado por Murray Schafer y el World Soundscape Project en la década de los setentas, el Diario Sonoro Patagónico es el resultado de un trabajo de campo orientado a documentar sonoramente sectores del Parque Pumalín que se verán afectados por la construcción del tramo faltante de la carretera austral que permitirá el tránsito permanente de vehículos. Una exploración de casi tres semanas que no se limitó solo a la realización de grabaciones sino que además al ejercicio de describir de manera escrita lo que se escucha.
Inspired by the European Sound Diary directed by Murray Schafer and the World Soundscape Project in the 1970s, the Patagonian Sound Diary is the result of a field work aimed at soundly documenting sectors of Pumalín Park that will be affected by the construction of the last section of the southern highway that will allow the permanent transit of vehicles. An exploration of almost three weeks that was not limited only to making recordings but also to the exercise of describing in writing what is heard.
